FEMA International, B.V. (FEMA) is a corporation of The Netherlands (1998). The company is managed in their respective roles by John Canvin and Hans Litjens. As the President and C.E.O., John Canvin is responsible for the organization overall, U.S. operations, and regulatory matters. As the Business Liaison Officer, Hans Litjens is the single point of contact for all current and new customers (marketing and sales organization whose principle purpose is the marketing and sales of products to obstetricians and gynecologists) and manages the warehouse and distribution operations in The Netherlands. FEMA was founded for the purpose to market and sell Dilapan-S, The Hygroscopic Cervical Dilator. The company has positioned itself as a leader in the sales and distribution of this device with distributors in numerous countries including the United States. In 2002, J.C.E.C. Company, Inc. a sister company of FEMA obtained approval from the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to market and sell the Dilapan-S to health care professionals in the U.S. Both companies now provide a comprehensive, high quality, cost effective product line intended for obstetricians and gynecologists.
