Despite less favourable baseline characteristics, including significantly lower initial Bishop scores and cervical dilation, DILAPAN-S demonstrated comparable effectiveness in cervical ripening progress while providing the added benefits of higher maternal satisfaction and preference, making it a gentler and more patient-friendly option compared to Foley.
